Key Stage 1 Trip to Beaumanor Hall for a Victorian Day 27th June

Year 2 had a wonderful day at Beaumanor Hall learning all about the Victorians and life as a Victorian child.

We had Sports Day on Thursday 22nd June.

Look at the fun we had!

Sports Day 2017 Warm Up

We warmed up like Mo Farrah and Usain Bolt!

Sports Day 2017

We had Mr Baker in to school to teach us about bees.

We learnt that bees are an important part of plants and how they grow as well as how they affect fruit growing. We tried some of his honey too!

We have been learning about plants. These are some of our paintings.

Can you identify them?

We went on to the field and collected leaves. We then identified which species they were.

We did a Victorian assembly.

We have learnt that the Victorians used to draw silhouettes.

We tried to make some of children in our class.
