We have been reading traditional tales. We made baskets using only newspaper and sellotape for little Red Riding Hood. Do you think they could carry fruit? How could we improve them?

We have been learning about the Great fire of London. First, we sorted the events on a timeline, then we tested materials to find which burn quickly. We have made model houses and we have looked at the diary of Samuel Pepys. We wrote our own diary.

We have been learning about fireworks. Today we collected words that describe how they look and the noises they make. We made some group poems:
We are learning about how Hindus celebrate Diwali. Today we made divas from salt dough. We made patterns by pressing a pencil into them, then once they were cooked, we painted them and added glitter.
We acted out the story of Rama and Sita. Can you spot Ravana or Hanuman?

R.E. We learnt about how different religions show they belong. We learnt that Jewish people celebrate Shabbat on Friday night. We tasted bread and 'wine' . We also visited St. Luke's church to find out a bit more about baptism.
