‘Through God’s love, we are the rich soil where
roots grow and seeds flourish.’ Luke 8:4-15

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Times of the Day

We wish all our children to arrive ready for learning. To help them to do this the children arrive at 8:50 am and go straight into class to participate in a settling activity so all children are ready to start their formal learning at 9 am.

To enable us to do this, we ask parents/carers to leave their children at the school gates so the children learn independence and enter class on their own. Should parents/carers wish to speak to their child's teacher, please make an appointment at the office or speak to the teacher after school when they have more time.

Please be aware that our school gates are not opened until 8:50 am and our school is next to a very busy road. Please take care on our pathways and when driving through the village. We encourage all parent/carers to park at the local pub, The Rose and Crown and walk the 200 metres down to the school gates.

Reception parents are asked to walk their children into the Reception playground to hand over to staff.

Year 1 and Year 2 children enter school through the KS1 gate along with the Reception children.

Key Stage 2 children enter school through the main gate near the well and walk round past the staff car park to the green side gate.
