‘Through God’s love, we are the rich soil where
roots grow and seeds flourish.’ Luke 8:4-15

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Class Information/Letters

Lunches:

Your child is entitled to a free school dinner, so please have a look at the menu and decide whether your child would like the meal or whether they'd prefer a packed lunch.

Reading:

We expect that children read at home at least 4 times or more in the week. Please date and sign the diary so that we can move your child’s picture on our class reading chart. By Friday, if your child has read 4 times or more they will receive a house point. Please note this is not reading 4 individual books, but reading 4 times during the week whatever the amount of pages may be. Reading regularly for 10 minutes a day is more beneficial than reading 30 minutes once a week.

Please remind your child to put their book bag in the change box in our classroom to get a new book when it needs changing. We are glad to be encouraging reading at home  and hope that you can work alongside us with this. If you have any questions please speak to the class teacher.

PE:

Physical activity is an integral part of our learning. This takes place in our classroom environment  and also on Thursday in the hall.  Please make sure that earrings and jewellery are removed at home on this day. We can't provide your child with tape to cover their earrings. Please ensure that all PE clothing, uniform and shoes are labelled to

Please provide a spare set of clothes including socks and pants.

At times, children can experience toilet accidents or get wet during water play. We do not always have the correct sized clothing for your child to get changed into and many children would prefer their own clothes. Please put these into a named carrier bag which we can keep at school.

Please ensure your child always brings a book bag, coat and water bottle into school.

All children need to have a coat in school as we go outside everyday and it may be cold or wet. Our cloakroom area has limited space and rucksacks or backpacks can lead to trips or falls as we do not have the space to store them. Children have their own labelled drawer which is a perfect size for a book bag.
